City Health Commission: Continuously improving the multi-tiered medical and health service system.

Reading and studying, delivering thematic reports, holding exchanges and seminars, conducting field investigations—over the past few days, the city’s health and wellness system has acted swiftly, closely aligning its efforts with practical realities. Through earnest study and application, as well as pragmatic, results‑oriented action, it has continuously strengthened a multi‑tiered medical and health service system, steadily advanced the high‑quality implementation of the thematic education campaign on studying and applying Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and ensured that these initiatives are deepened, grounded, and deliver tangible results.

All units within the health and wellness system have focused on strengthening theoretical education, steadfastly using Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to unify minds and forge souls. Peking University Cancer Hospital held the first session of its thematic education reading group for the Party and administrative leadership team, adopting a combination of rotating readings of relevant chapters and self-study to conduct concentrated study of selected sections from “Selected Works of Xi Jinping.” This approach has effectively translated learning outcomes into a powerful driving force for solidifying ideals, cultivating political integrity, guiding practical work, and advancing the hospital’s development in the new era. Meanwhile, the Municipal Health Supervision Institute convened a briefing session, urging Party members and cadres to integrate theoretical study throughout the entire process of the thematic education campaign.

To genuinely enhance the public’s sense of satisfaction with medical care, various organizations have worked diligently to integrate thematic education with their day-to-day operations. Grounded in the development imperatives of the new era and focusing on persistent challenges and longstanding issues, they have gone straight to the front lines, stationed themselves at the grassroots level, addressed problems, and fostered progress. The Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has prioritized research as a means of advancing learning, organizing all Party members and cadres to conduct on-site investigations in the three northern counties of Hebei Province, examining the coordinated development of TCM. Participants jointly discussed the key difficulties and pain points in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei TCM collaboration, identified priorities for the next phase of work, and proposed exploring innovative approaches and tackling emerging challenges in areas such as advancing TCM‑related cooperation among the three regions and promoting strategic partnerships for TCM brands within the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei framework, thereby making fresh contributions. Meanwhile, the Municipal Red Cross Blood Center visited the blood donation stations on Zhao Dengyu Road, Xidan, and Beijing Railway Station, soliciting feedback from donors on their experiences with voluntary blood‑donation services. Issues that could be resolved on the spot were promptly coordinated and addressed, while matters requiring interdepartmental collaboration were collectively discussed and systematically planned.

At the exchange session of the thematic education reading class organized by the Party Committee of the Municipal Health Commission, Zhong Dongbo, Secretary of the Party Committee, stated that the capital’s health and wellness system must translate its learning outcomes into new approaches for addressing practical and policy‑related challenges, striving to achieve tangible results in forging political loyalty through study, enhancing intellectual capacity, upholding proper conduct, and driving effective action. The system will devote itself fully to supporting the development of the “Four Centers,” improve the multi‑tiered medical and health service system, and deepen efforts to build a Healthy Beijing, thereby making greater contributions to safeguarding the health interests of the people, serving the capital’s strategic positioning, and promoting the high‑quality development of the capital’s health and wellness sector.
